Kevin Bickle is a painter from Westerville, Ohio. His artwork consists of contemporary, abstract expressionism to surreal-realistic urban images. Although dyslexic, following graduation from Gahanna Lincoln Highschool in 1992 he briefly attended the School of Advertising Art (SAA) in Kettering, Ohio but dropped out after one year and is mainly self-taught. He has been painting regularly since 2006. His art is influenced by the many experiences in his life, from competing in urban bmx freestyle trick bicycle riding, to visiting Benin, West Africa, and moving briefly to Auckland, New Zealand. He also worked for 15 years at the Abigail Wexner estate in New Albany, Ohio where he was introduced to the works of the masters such as Picasso, Dubuffet, and many others. He is married to wife, Jillian of 20 years, with their son Brayden, and continues to paint and create daily.
